After nearly four years as a neuroscience researcher, I made a career pivot. With the generous support of the ARCS Foundation, I began the Science Communication master’s program at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Here, I tell stories about climate, health and community for the radio, local newspapers, and national magazines.

With generous support from the ARCS Foundation, I began the Science Communication master’s program at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Here, I tell stories about climate, health and community for the radio, local newspapers, and national magazines. Some of my favorites include: a podcast about socially awkward bumblebees, a news article about California Condor conservation and an article for KQED about storm recovery at a Seacliff State Beach. Additionally, I’m working on documentary-style videos and radio scripts about epilepsy research and California’s winter storms. Come chat with me about science communication!
